I successfully installed the local server in just a few minutes. Then began the process of downloading and installing Drupal. Download check. Unzip check. Now where to put it. I referred to Drupal’s site on how to install with a local host and everything seemed to be running smoothly. I first had to create a database but then when I went to install the site the problems began. Numerous error messages appeared. I deleted everything and started again thinking that as I do sometimes just look at the directions that I deem important and skip all the rest. Second try…

Arrrgggh! more error messages. I’m not even sure what the message even meant but it was in red which usually means bad.  The curious thing is that it continues to let you install Drupal so I push past the messages and it looks as though it worked. Now it’s time to see if I can configure this thing. I might try to re-install it though to see it was just the way I was installing it.

I have decided to try Drupal. I have a site built on Drupal currently but I hired a company to put it together. Once the site was up I had a lot of trouble finding anyone that new how to upgrade the site and add modules. I would like to learn more about Drupal because there is a lot that I would like to do with my site and just don’t know exactly how to do it. In the meantime my site is going to be beta tested on another private cms that a company is working on. I’ll let everyone know how it goes.
